*Move thermostat down in the winter, up in summer. Changing your temperature so that it is no more then 68 degrees in the winter and no less 78 degrees in the summer can save you from 300-500$/Yr.
*Unplug electronics when not in use. This can save you around 26.25$/Yr.
*Programmable thermostat, raise temperature at night, warm up in the morning.
* Switch to CFL's. A regular 100watt incandescent light bulb has a life of 700 hours, while a 23watt CFL (which emits the same amount of light as a 100watt incandescent) has a life of 10000 hours. Replacing 4 100W, with 4 23W CFL's will save you 59.84$/Yr.
* Don't leave lights on when not in use, if you do then use a dimmer. Some CFL's now can be bought that have dimming settings on them. Do not use dimmers on regular CFL's.
